Jonathan Huberdeau Tournament: $355,000 for mental health services

Date

July 11, 2023

The second edition of the Jonathan Huberdeau Golf Tournament, organized by the Cité de la Santé Foundation, brought together 288 golfers who together collected $355,000 to support mental health. Presented by RBC Wealth Management and Market 440, in collaboration with National Bank, Desjardins Business, Terrebonne Ford and Marival Resorts, the annual event at Golf Le Mirage was once again a record success.

Funding well-being in Laval: everyone mobilized

In concrete terms, the funds will make it possible to finance the mental health services offered to young people housed in rehabilitation centers (in particular in suicide prevention) and to improve the psychiatric care offered at the CISSS de Laval.

Last year, the Tournament raised $215,750. This increase demonstrates a collective awareness and a growing interest among the Laval population in supporting their CISSS de Laval. In the context of growing mental health challenges and growing needs, the support of individuals and businesses is essential to continue to offer quality care and services, while constantly innovating for the benefit of the Laval community.

Several personalities from sporting, cultural and political circles were involved in the event. In addition to Jonathan Huberdeau, we should mention the presence and support of Jean-Charles Lajoie, Geneviève Tardif, Charles Hamelin, Jonathan Bernier, Kevin Mandolese, Louis-Jean Cormier and several other personalities.

The Foundation warmly thanks the generous and exceptional contribution of its organizing committee, its sponsors, its donors and its volunteers and would like to remind you once again that it is in everyone's interest to support the CISSS de Laval, because we are all winners with Health.

Organizing Committee: Patrick Hébert, events and communications officer (Foundation), Denis Piché, wealth manager (RBC Dominion), Sylvain Courcelles, Executive Director (Caisses Desjardins des Grands boulevards de Laval), Michel Sirois, VP agrofood (Banque Nationale) and Pierre-Luc Girard, associate (JGW avocats)
