We are proud to announce that Guy Gagnon, alias Mr. Bingo, is the recipient of a Hosia Volunteer Award, City of Laval, in the Social Development category. Mr. Gagnon has been a volunteer at the Foundation for nearly 40 years. In fact, he practically helped create the Foundation! Employed in the technical services of the Hôpital de la Cité-de-la-Santé in 1978, he was among the very first to commit to improving care and services.
For the past thirty years, he has been organizing a Bingo for the benefit of the Foundation – hence his nickname, Mr. Bingo. He also accomplished many tasks over the years, even after his retirement. He is one of our most loyal and committed volunteers, we are proud that his commitment has been recognized by the City of Laval this year.
Since the start of the pandemic, we have been thinking very hard about all our volunteers, who we sorely miss! Take care of yourself and come back to us in force!
