Job offer - Advisor, events and communications

Mission

Reporting to the Deputy Director General and working in close collaboration with the Senior Advisor, Events and Development, the Advisor, Events and Communications, contributes to the deployment and realization of all Foundation events. In addition, he or she supports the Director of Communications in the design and production of communication tools related to events.

Main responsibilities

Events

  • In collaboration with the Senior Advisor, Events and Development, plans and coordinates the production of the Foundation's benefit events within the defined budget and timelines;
  • Organizes and tracks all logistical activities (suppliers, donations of goods and services, auction lots, etc.);
  • Collaborates in the evaluation of the performance of events;
  • Proposes and coordinates effective management processes and tools (software or other) facilitating the organization and monitoring of events;Performs inventory management for Foundation events.

Communications

  • In collaboration with the Senior Advisor, Events and Development, participates in the development of the specific communication plan by activity/event;
  • Coordinates the production with external suppliers of the Foundation's communication tools related to events (printed or digital material);
  • Plans and carries out digital communications related to events (posts on social media, emails, site/microsite updates, etc.);
  • In collaboration with the Director of Communications, plans press relations surrounding events (sending of press releases, media monitoring, search for spokespersons, etc.).

Know-how: required skills

La personne recherchée détient d’excellentes capacités rédactionnelles en français et une aisance à communiquer;
Elle possède de l’expérience en coordination de production d’outils de communications (numériques et imprimés) et en collaboration avec des fournisseurs externes;
Elle a un grand intérêt et une expérience démontrée avec l’utilisation des médias sociaux et les communications numériques en général;
Elle possède de l’expérience ou démontre les habiletés requises pour la recherche et l’activation de commandites.

Knowledge: qualifications

  • Hold an undergraduate university degree in communication, philanthropic management or in a discipline equivalent or related to the tasks to be performed;
  • Minimum experience of 3 years in a similar position;
  • Experience with updating a website (use of a content management tool such as WordPress) and social media (Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, LinkedIN);
  • Knowledge of Adobe suite software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and the field of printing an asset;
  • Mastery of the MS Office suite;
  • Excellent command of French and good knowledge of English;
  • Knowledge of a database such as Prodon, Raisers' Edge or DonorPerfect an asset.

Conditions

  • Permanent full-time position (35 h / week)
  • Starting date: as soon as possible
  • Main place of work: 1515, boul. Chomedey (Laval) with some travel on Laval territory
  • Salary scale: $45,000 to $55,000 / year
  • Occasionally available evenings and weekends for Foundation events or activities organized by third parties
  • The chosen person must have access to a vehicle (travel expenses will be paid)
