Cité-de-la-Santé's first baby of the year in 2025 is a boy

Date

January 20, 2025

Micheline White and her husband Giancarlo Perri knew that 2025 would see their family grow. However, when Elio was born at 12:29 a.m. on January 1, 2025, both parents were amazed to discover that their baby would also mark the city of Laval, as the first baby of the new year at Cité-de-la-Santé Hospital.

A ray of sunshine soon lit up the New Year

When Dr. Annie Lamontagne visited Mrs. White at 12:19 a.m., everything happened very quickly, and ten minutes later, little Elio (which literally means ray of sunshine) triumphantly made his entrance into the Cité-de-la-Santé hospital maternity ward, before resting beside his mother, under the proud gaze of his father. The very next morning, his big sister, accompanied by her grandparents, came to see him, eager to meet her little brother and laden with gifts for the newborn.

Cité-de-la-Santé hospital, a birthplace for the whole family

Micheline White and Giancarlo Perri knew the place well, and felt pretty confident. It was also Cité-de-la-Santé Hospital that welcomed the birth of their eldest daughter, Lenora, in the midst of the pandemic.

"I really appreciated the service. Every time we had a question, even about adjusting the baby seat, it was really quick," says Mr. Perri. The nurses came to take very good care of us. Everyone, even those doing the cleaning or bringing in the food, was always smiling and in a good mood, even at 3 a.m."

Mr. Perri adds: "I would like to underline the excellent work of Dr. Lamontagne and all the nurses. Unfortunately, I won't be able to name them all, but it was really good. We felt very much at ease.
